The Short Version

For over three decades, we've built sofas the way they were meant to be built — by hand, in our own Los Angeles factory, one piece at a time.

Chapter One — The Beginning

A dream born in Los Angeles.

It started with a simple frustration. In the early 1990s, our founder walked through Los Angeles showroom after showroom and found the same thing every time — pressed wood, thin fabric, and sofas built to be replaced. Mass-produced. Imported. Made far away by machines for a price tag, not for a life.

"If I'm going to put this in my family's home here in L.A., it has to be something I'm proud to put my name on."

So instead of settling, they started building. Right here in Los Angeles, in a workshop that smelled of fresh-cut hardwood and craftsmanship. CRAFTEDsofa was born — not from a business plan, but from a belief that furniture should be made with the same pride you put into a home.

Chapter Two — The Journey

Three decades of making in L.A.

1990s

The First Workshop

A family, a small L.A. shop, and a commitment to never cut corners. Every frame hand-joined. Every cushion cut with care.

2000s

Word Spreads

Neighbors told neighbors. The CRAFTEDsofa name grew on reputation alone — sofas that outlasted everything else in the room.

2010s

The Next Generation

New hands joined the L.A. workshop. New ideas. Same hardwood. Same standards. The craft got stronger.

Every stitch, on-site.

Nothing is outsourced. Not the sewing, not the framing, not the upholstery. Fabric is cut on our floor, sewn by hands we know by name, and married to frames we built ourselves — a full process, under one Los Angeles roof.

It's slower. It's more expensive. And it's the only way we know how to make a sofa that lasts generations, not seasons.

We source fabric for feel, durability, and character — materials that age with grace, resist pilling, and stay beautiful after a single year of living.
